Sampled @ GBBF day 2. Dark brown to black color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly roast, lightly liquorice, a bit weird. Average to medium carbonation. Don’t like it.

Gravity dispense at the Happy Man May 2014 BF, 22/05/14. Black with a big old tan head that retains well. Nose is big roast malts, liqourice stick, treacle toffee, earthy cocoa, tar. Taste comprises treacle toffee, moderate roast, sweet licks, tar, another big liqourice injection. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light dryness in the close. Solid stout.

Very dark. Sweet character, little bit of butter, some nuttiness but gotta get that diacetyl out of there.

Cask @ Master Mariner, New Brighton. Very dark with a creamy off-white head. Lovely and smooth in texture with assorted aromas including a light roast, it has a milky aftertaste.
