Cask @ 57 Thomas Street, Manchester. Black with a small off-white head. It's at its most port-like in its nose with some washy roasted malts here, and is crisp and sweet in its taste. Its stout character is understated.

Cask at Marble Arch Inn, Manchester. A deep red beer with a dense brown head. The aroma has notes of malt both sweet and roasted as well as light notes of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Cask @ Marvle Arch. Manchester, M4. Pours a black color with a longlasting tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and coffee flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a fruity roasted malty chocolate and coffee finish.

Cask (gravity) @ The National Winter Ales Festival 2008, Manchester, UK. Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, burnt, chocolate, coffee, light to moderae hoppy, flowers, perfume, sulfo. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (170108)
