Cask at PoW, Farnborough. A feint and sour floral aroma. Bright gold. Blotchy white head. A sharp bitterness is most immediate. An underlying sweet honey and malts taste then appears. The bitterness continues through in to the finish. Light in body and carbonation. Refreshing. More interesting that your average bitter.

Hand-pulled pint in the lovely old tourist pub ’Haunch of Venison’, Salisbury, on 12th Oct 2013. This comes a real pale golden colour, almost Lager-like and with the same white head s you’d expect on a Lager/Pilsner. The aroma was both ’grainy’ and hoppy in about equal measures, the hops just winning in the taste stakes with a mild citrus hint coming through. Dry finish to a pretty average brew that was almost boring and lacking any robustness of flavour or body depth. Subtle for some, bland for me.

Cask at The Brownswood, London. Pours clear yellow with a fine, white froth head. Grainy malt nose, wet leaves. Light sweet flavor, toasted grains, dirt, leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet finish, toast, more dirt and leaves, grainy malts. Wholly uninspiring.
