Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, moderate hoppy, perfume, bananacake. Flavor is moderate sweet, light acidic, light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft / flat. (140108)

Like a cake that my mum makes i.e. All of the ingredients are in there to end up with what should be a rich fruit cake, like in the book, but somehow you end up with a brick.

Dark amber. Intense fruity aroma with an evident punch of pine needles. Medium sweet and medium bodied. Rounded mouthfeel with notes of chocolate and a dryish bitter finish with lingering pine needle flavour.
