Back to Black is a dark brown, almost black, beer (9,5 % vol.alc.) that appeals to our imagination. Brewed with an IBU-bitterness of 100, the beer matures on foeder over a period of nine months before reaching it's unique taste.

Bottle from Etre, aged for about a year. Pours reddish brown with almost no head. Tart with cherries, some light milk chocolate, nail polish, red grapes and some wood. More sour than porter for sure.

Bottle at the 11th Brugge beer Festival, Brugge, Belgium. A dark brown/black brown coloured pour with a small beige head on top. Tart, fruity, red wine aroma. Tastes quite tart, fruity, red wine. Bitter/sour.

Flaska från Etre Gourmete delad med Svensson. Mjuk och rund mörk suröl som fått fin av torr stram och fruktig fatkaraktär som möter den mörka malten fint. Mörka bär, trä, fat, svarta vinbär och lite stenfrukt, laktosyrlig. Mycket gott.

Bottle @ tasting shared by Joes. Dark red-brown color with a red glare coming through. Medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, sour, tart-bitter, grapepeel, tannins, lingering sour tart cherries. Quite nice, I like it.

Bottle @ benzai. Bring we colour with a small white head. Smells sour, cherry peel, fruity. Tastes sourish, cherry peel, grapes. Medium body, soft to medium carbo.

Bottle (from finest belgian beers). Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroam is sour, funky medicinal, malty, bretty. Flavor is sour, oak, malt, funk, roast, medicinal. Finish is sour, oak, and roast with some booze. Overall: very good, a lot more in sour ale category than in porter one.

On tap at Beerlovers Bar Antwerpen. A almost black beer with a small beige head. Aroma of tart fruits, red malt, raisins, wood. Taste of tart dark fruits, blueberries, wood, dry rotten dark fruits. Nice Interpretation of a a Imperial Porter.
