Big dark malt flavours combine with a sweet and fruity hop taste to make this strong porter exceedingly drinkable.

We’re famous for our pale and gold coloured beers at Oakham Ales but we brew some brilliant black beers.

Black Hole Porter takes a traditional style and gives it a modern, refreshingly hoppy twist. First brewed in 1996, our brewing team now age Black Hole Porter in casks to produce the exceptional beer that we know today.

Cask. Pours an opaque dark brown with an orange hue and a small beige head. Lightly sweet hard roated malt in the nose. Medium body, low carbonation, hard roasted malt, lots of licorice and a little cough syrup. Light malt bitterness in the finish. Quite pleasant. 180110
