"Bartender, if anyone calls, I'm not here, right? Every year it's the same nightmare, hauling that over-sized, red-suited endomorph all over kingdom come, up to my shivering haunches in snow and muck! You call him a Saint? Slave-driver, more like. Going down in history is all well and good, but what about the here and now? My therapist says I have to start doing things for me for a change. It's about time I had a Merry Christmas myself, don't you think?"

Bottle from Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove, Near Wantage, Oxon purchased and consumed 29-12-09 Pours crystal clear amber with white lacy head. Touch of orange amongst the sweety maltiness on nose. Taste is a little citric from the off nice steady bitterness, possibly a tad too sweet but yer know its a much better beer than I expected and I rather enjoyed it. A6 A4 F7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bottle. A clear, slightly dark golden beer with a creamy off-white head. Slightly milky-sour nose, with bread and caramel. Some dried fruits as well. Sweet and malty flavor, quite fruity, with a little bitterness escalating towards the end, giving it a pleasant balanced finish. Medium body. Sure a decent beer, a bit on the malty side, lacking something on the hops I think, even though it’s a winter warmer. 090828

Bottle at Nya Tröls, Malmö
Light amber color; generous head. Strange aroma, mild, creamy but also meaty; earthy. Caramel and toffee flavor, with a reasonable body; there is a light but pleasant earthy, manure touch. Strong bitterness. Indeed interesting, as bottled English ale.

500 ml bottle given to me by my wife for Christmas. Pour is hazed golden amber with decent settling that builds a one inch egg white head. Aroma of cardboard malt and some sweet spiciness. Taste is the dusty biscuit malt, followed by muted caramel sweetness. The finish lingers a bit, and is not particularly clean tasting. Despite that very clean taste of this, it is actually pretty easy to drink, which is odd.
