Bottled. Hazy amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is ginger, yeast, zest and some mild leathery and wooden notes. Flavour is spices, leather, some zest, yeast, caramel and mild fudge. A bit too yeasty, but otherwise quite pleasant.

Courtesy of Papsø; 8%, batch F301-1, bb 010116
Cloudy amber color; the bottle is a slow gusher, but in the end there is not much head. There is some sweet caramel aroma, light fudge too. Semi-sweet caramel and fudge flavor, with a light nutty touch, and moderate bitterness; it has a light spicy touch, some bitter oranges.
Simple like some homebrews, but not too bad.

(boutles, 7.0% abv, as Stevns Fiddivous Påskebryg, courtesy of Papsoe) Hazy, copper colour with a big and slightly beige foamy head. Slightly sweet and yeasty-spicy toast-malty aroma with caramel and aromatic, slightly piney and fruity hoppy notes. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Solid toast-malty, slightly fruity taste with piney noble hops and spicy accents; moderately sweet and pretty spicy malty finish with noble hop character and a warming alcoholic touch. Pleasant brew for the cold months of the year. 02.XII.09

Bottle (as Fiddivous 08): Very stable creamy yellowish head, solid spicy-hoppy nose, rounded by caramel and toasted malt; robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, a bit fizzy; a light vinous touch, mixed with cinnamon, in the sweet-bitter finish. Well drinkable stuff........

500 ml bottle. (I think this rating is based on the 2006 version since my notes is dated August 2007.) Amber body with a beige head. Aroma of malt and caramel with a rather mild spicy touch of cloves, anis and cinnamon. Flavor is sweet malty, burned caramel and spices as in aroma. Decent, but I find it to sweet and could wish for more distinct spice flavor.

50cl bottle at home. BBF 010110 cloudy brown, small light brown thick head. very spicy aroma, cardemom, oranges.toffee. some hint of sourness in the background. flavor is slightly, but definetly sour, spices, oranges, alc. well hidden by the sourness. brewer might want to set his BBF 6 months earlier as it seems to be going downhill here, 6 months before BBF, turning sour despite the high alc%. was bought apr 22 magasin lyngby this year, stored dark at about 17 degrees since that.

Draught Thick orange coloured head over fully hazy amber-brown beer. Fine piney nose, some raisins and rosemary. Piney, rosemary again, and a bitter-hoppy spike. Still, no problem with balance. Medium bodied, slick, alcohol. Nice, not overly spiced, restrained for a winterale.
