On tap at Dutch Taproom. Pours clear deep gold with a beige head. Caramel and dried berries on the nose. Flavour has dry caramel, dried fruits, and an appropriate amount of bitter phenols. Solid.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch Bermondsey. Quite unattractive really. No head. An obscuringly opaque brown. Aroma is surprisingly low key. Sweet and spicy. The flavour also mirrors my previous description. Sweet with a big dose of spice. S9me warth. Seeet doughy malts. Medium-heavy bodied. Oily. A light fizz. Long dry astringent finish.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch. Almost clear deep amber brown beer, small but tidy tan head. Light palate all told, good fine minerally carbonation. Typical quad esters but not absolutely dominant. A surprising bitterness. Caramel malts but not sweet. Ripe fruits and mild spice on the finish. An entertaining and drinkable quad.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch, Bermondsey, 22/01/2025.
Mahogany brown with a beige cap that thins to the edge.
Nose is stewed fruits, brown bread, booze, dates.
Taste comprises caramel, fruit cake, herb, brown bread, raisins, sultanas.
Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a ripple of alcohol.
Okay sipper if perhaps lacking some depth to the flavour.
