Brutal bitter is a imperial bitter and one of the original hazy beers that dates back more than 20 years. Brewed and dry hopped with 100% Rogue Farms Alluvial hops that exhibit flavors and aromas of peach (no fruit added). The malt adds good structure, some nuttiness and provides a deep golden hue.

Draught @ NYC Craft Ber Festival. Cloudy pale yellow with small off-white foamy head, doughy aroma, citrus peel taste, low carbonation, long hoppy finish. Not a great IPA.

Bottle at home after dissapointigly having to miss a To Ol event I managed to grab a few bottles to sip in consolation. Pours hazy orange with big tropical fruit nose. Tastes of pineapple, grapefruit, passionfruit, caramel, earth, pine, and banana. Sweet yet bitter. Smooth palate. Quite nice I havet had a Rogue beer in a long time but this is lovely.

Tap from Stone's (hop leaf anniversary). Orange cloudy pour. Aroma is super biscuity. Taste is very very bready malty - piercing orange hops though. Bitter finish. Not bad.

Half-pint on tap in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury on 12th Jan 15 before the monthly bottle exchange. a little murky light amber/bronze in colour. Thin white head that tried to last. The nose was semi-sweet, biscuity malts, with a fruity hop undertone. The taste was hops to the fore with the maltiness in the aroma now taking second place in the flavouring. Nothing brutal about it: nice blend and a fine beer. Good bittering finish.

Deep hazy dark orange color with small head. Aroma of hops, but not too dominant, a bit citrus, a bit pine, also caramel. Smells like Zopf or Brioche. Taste is caramel, but not sweet, hoppy bitterness is very present, but not really fruity. Decent bitter finish. Smooth carbonation. Tasty, but not too complex. A non-sweet but still rather malty interpretation of the IPA style.

650ml bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Just about clear, light bronze colour. Film of white head. Decent balance of sweet, toasty malts, and light, orangey hop, but I wouldn’t say it was brutal. Some grassiness. Slightly earthy. Taste has a light, malty sweetness, turning moderate bitter. Palate is a little oily, and quite smooth. Finishes light, long bitter. Very drinkable, but not one to get too excited about.

From tap at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Hazy golden color wit white head. Malty aroma, caramel, hoppy too, grassy, fruity, light floral, pine. Sweet and light bitter taste like the aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
