Aromas of burnt coffee grains, smoked wood, roasted malts and eventually - some mild hop grassiness. Brown colour with ruby-copper highlights, and warm-beige head, decent stay and nice creamyish lacing. The mouthfeel is smooth, then tart from the coffee appears on the tongue and hoppy dryness lingers. Burnt barley, coffee flavours with a touch of hops. A pretty decent coffee stout for 4.5% ABV. and good for Mononc'.

12 ounce at the brewery - hazy amber - creamy texture - medium sweet, with some notes of oxidation/sherry, oak, whiskey, touches of smoke - a light acidity balances the sweetness - a bit of dough and treacle - really well-masked alcohol - body is a little thinner than I’d like, but still quite good.
