Tap - "Greenport Abbey Dubbel" - headless purple beer - this straight-up tastes like grape juice - a wee bit of tartness and maybe a hint of phenolic spiciness - but mostly sweet grapiness - what the hell.

Sample at GABF 10/04/2014, thanks to my BIL for assistance with note-taking. Slightly hazy brownish-amber color with a medium thin light beige head that dissipates quickly to a wispy film. Short strings of lace. Tart fruit, malt and yeast in the nose. Medium-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, tart fruit and earthy yeast. The finish is fruity with a berry and yeast aftertaste. Above average overall.
