Cask at Hogshead - the last brown ale this brewery made was surprisingly smoky, and this one is even more so - a lot of smoke in the nose, as well as molasses, nutmeg, hazelnut - flavor is medium dry up front, some smoke, leafy, earthy malt - gets a bit more sweetness through the middle - some maple, brown sugar - dry finish, tasting almost spiced (nutmeg, cinnamon) - complex and tasty brown.
