Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7
Tap at Hogshead - black pour with a frothy, lasting head - aroma is dry, deep roastiness, light char, cocoa, light anise - flavor is earthy, medium dry - a lot of dark chocolate flavors, tobacco, earthy/mushroomy yeast character - gets just a tad astringent at times, but otherwise quite tasty.
