Very dark purple pour - soapy lace - nose is plum, toffee, chocolate, black cherry - I mostly swell the malt character - subdued to non-existent yeast character - low carbonation, but fairly full in the mouth - very well-masked alcohol - fairly sweet, but tempered by a light tartness - plum, raisin, toffee - much like the nose, little to no yeast character - lightly earthy fruit skin finish,with lingering toffee - easy to drink for the strength, but lacking the depth you’d really want in a quad.
