Tap at The Rackhouse - served rather cold - the first sip had an odd rubbing alcohol character to it, so I set the beer aside for a while, contemplating whether or not to drink the rest - I eventually did, and after the beer was warm, this character disappeared, but it still kind of ruined the whole experience - fairly sweet, but with a moderate tanginess to it - moderate belgian esters - some notes of melon and cane sugar - a lot of phenols that I wouldn’t quite call off, but I would call quite muddled - nothing very distinct - it tastes like a rough sketch of a belgian without any real depth - not terrible, just drink it warm.
