Bottle from a friend - viscous black pour - manages to avoid many of the pitfalls such stouts fall into - the coffee is present and deep in character without being overly bitter or acidic - bourbon barrel adds mellow bourbon notes without undo booziness - vanilla is a bit overstated - bittersweet, with some notes of char and smoke - a bit of cherry cordial character on the tail end - as it warms it gets a little hot in the finish, but overall solid.
