Tulip at the brewery - clear purplish amber - deep caramelized sugars, dark fruit - the brandy barrel has added depth without adding undue booziness, which I appreciate - however, it has also swallowed some of the Belgian yeast character, leaving the malt and the barrel really driving the bus - don’t get me wrong, it’s still plenty tasty, but sometimes stuff gets lost in the barrel treatment.
