Cask @ Bishops Arms Gustav, Malmö. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty hoppy licorice and chocolate aroma. Slightly roasted malty hoppy bitter chocolate flavor. Has a slightly roasted malty hoppy bitter chocolate finish.

Ca from trade dragnet1010, many thanks man.Very dark chestnut brown with huge long lasting beige head. Chocolate, roasted malt, light citrus hops. Taste, solid malty base with chocolate, licorice, light coffee, dark fruits, followed by light citrus hoppy bitterness. medium long roasty, hoppy bitter finish. Good.

Glass, cask, 1/3 pint, drunk at Head of Steam, during the 4th International Conference on Administrative Data Research, savoured on December 10, 2019; eye: black, opaque, no effervescence, nice sheet of tan head, average lacing; nose: barely perceptible, coffee, roasting, acidity, malt; mouth: malt, roasted, acidity, coffee, bittering hops, dry finale in coffee with good presence of bittering hops, medium body, more bitter than expected, rough texture; in summary: quite likable

440ml can from brewery. Pours black, beige head, good retention and lacing down the glass. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, herbs and flora; hops used as per can are Green Bullet, Columbus and Cascade. Taste is chocolate, a little smokiness, bitter roasted malts and a semi-sweetness to balance. There is also a little dried fruit and citrus in the mix. Good long bitterness in the finish with a raisin earthy note. Body is moderate and low carbonation works ok. On the can they classify this as a 'Sultry Dark Ale' rather than a stout which I can understand as it is quite hoppy. The hops combine to give a bit of citrus, herbs and fruit to the mix. A bit of spice would have elevated this even more. Quite an earthy hoppy dark beer. Excellent but not one for easy drinking.

440ml can from Craft & Berry. Black brown colour, beige foam head leaving lacing and aroma of roasty malt. Taste is malty, roasted, ashy, dark chocolate, with earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasty bitter finish. Nicely drinkable

12/4/2019. Cask gravity at the Hull Real Ale & Cider Festival 2019. Pours black with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit, coffee and liquorice. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, slick texture, average to soft carbonation. Bitter roasted chocolate finish. Good.

Cask at the Guildford arms. Pours black, nose is salty toffee, meaty, chocolate, taste is similar, sugary, light roasted malts.

Half at GRAF. Dark brown with a thin bubbly head. Very hoppy aroma, taste is liquorice, a little caramel and a lot of grapefruit.
