Deep dark and quite hazy brown coloured body with a muddied, almost ruby tint, all with a very thin and fast-dying tan and light-brown head, but a very opaque brow glow overall here. Aroma of pitted fruits, raisins, figs, earth, nuts, grain and a lot of caramelised sugars and more nutty malts. Medium to Full-bodied; Insanely rich and caramelised sugar flavours with biscuits, yeast, grain, nuts and earth all pungent, but the sweetness from apples and raisins shows through towards the end, but a lot of complexity from the malts, alcohol and yeast. Aftertaste shows a ton of pitted fruit sweetness, alcohol and robust body flaovurs, but the nutty and almost caramel flavour from the pitted fruit shows out everywhere here, but especially on the end. Overall, a deep and robust Belgian Strong with a lot of coffee, earth, pungent notes and the overarching hint of a deep pungent and cereal-y finish that makes the punch a bit stronger than most, but nice to have and definite malt-centric. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Beverage in Thornton, Colorado on 07-June-2017 for US$3,69 sampled at my house here in Washington on 06-July-2019, a bit more than two years later.

This beer pours a clear dark amber color with a medium thin white head that dissipates quickly to a wispy film. Spotty lacing. Aroma of fruit, caramel and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of astringent fruit, sweet caramel malt and yeast. The finish has a tinge of solvent along with ripe fruit and malt. Below average overall.

Can - hazy purple beer - messy-ass beer all-around - rough maltiness, some chocolate, plum, huskiness - nose is tart and lightly tannic - strong vegetal character through the middle, like boiled root vegetables - messy phenolics late - rough finish - just messy overall.
