Snifter at the brewery - dark ruby with a soapy head - interesting hybrid of British and American barleywine - it’s got the sherry/oxidation and fruity character of some British examples, but also a mildly elevated hop presence that gives it some American character - creamy texture - some toffee, a touch of treacle - light tartness on the tail end to cut the sweet - moderate alcohol warmth - quite nice, really.
