10 ounce at the brewery - turbid straw - made with 20% rice and spiced with saffron - this beer is damn near fucking sublime - nose is musky, earthy, peppery - grassy and herbal - prickly carbonation - nicely attenuated - sweet, but balanced - moderate balancing acidity and strong but not overpowering spicy phenolics - honey, wildflower, white pepper - lovely warmth in the finish - lingering white pepper and melon - American brewers seldom make tripels of this caliber - River North makes a damn fine one, but this one is better - excellent.
