Rehellinen ja konstailematon tsekkityylinen pohjahiivaolut; kunnon sotamies Shvejk olisi pitänyt tästä. Lempeän makean laatumaltaan hienostunut pehmeys ja täyteläinen mehevyys tasapainottavat hienon humalan, Böömin punaisen, miehekästä katkeruutta ja tukevaa aromia.

On tap at Plevnan, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out caramel, toffee and bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with caramel bready malt, toffee and burnt brown sugar. Nicely balanced and much more robust than your average dunkel.

On tap at Pikkulintu, October 2013. Dark brown with a small head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, light fruit, caramel and yeast. Also notes of something that reminded of "candy". Fairly light but an ok one.

Draught @ the brewpub
Three and half years of beer geeking and still haven’t tasted the Dunkel from my local brewery…but here we go: Aroma has lots of butter and diacetyl and almost no roastiness at all – feels a lot like a (good) czech pils. Also some grassy hops. Flavour has roasted malt, some coffee, butter and grassy hops. Some distant metallic savor occurs at the last sip. Creamy but definitely not foamy palate. Good (bohemian) Dunkel.

(Draught at Pikkulintu) Poured almost black. Head was medium sized and dark brown. The roastiness of the aroma surprised me. Aroma contained also cream and sweetness. Palate was too dry, body was ok. Lack on excessive sweetness was the best thing in the taste. Other flavours were roastedness, burntness, mildly molassess and medium bitterness. Aftertaste could have lasted longer - it contained roastedness and bitterness. Quite easily drinkable session beer - the high carbonation disturbed little.
