(Cask at GBBF, London, 9 Aug 2007) Black colour with ruby notes, frothy pale brown head. Malty nose with notes of dark fruit, prunes and some citrussy hops. A hint sourish. Malty taste with chocolate, nuts, prunes and raisins. Fairly dry, citrussy (or sourish?) finish. A bit boring for a porter.

Cask @ GBBF 2007, London. Clear dark brown color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate malty, raosted, burnt, sour. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and light bitter with a short duration. Body is light, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. Out off balance.

Cask@GBBF2007. Dark amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, hops and some very earthy notes. Flavour is quite exactly the same along with some papery hints. Not very exciting.

Draught@Molly’s Yard. Chocolate stout from Belfast. Dark brown, alost opaque, small firm tan head. Metallic, herbal, slightly toasted nose. Dry, roasted with cold coffee. Some tobacco. Not very heavy, more porter like stout. Chocolaty notes in finish then a bit hoppy bitterness. All the way also kind of herbal flavor.
