Tap at Number Twenty2, Darlington. Hazy amber colour, no head and aroma of apple, straw, sulphur. Taste is mellow apple, musty, fruity, sweetish with alittle funk. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dryin finish. Quite OK.

Bag-in-a-box at the Monk’s Retreat (JDW), Reading. Hazy gold. Light vanilla, a bit of funky apple tartness. Sweetish. Smooth but a bit thin. Hint of dryness in the finish. Rather wishy-washy but OK I guess.

*Old rating. Round and refreshing. Hints of sourish apples with sulfur. Dry body. Long sulfur-apple aftertaste, dry-sourish but round. Could be a bit more aromatic, but probably not fresh enough...

Cask @ The Cider House, Bridgnorth, an absolute joke of a cider pub! Pours a cloudy yellow with a fair dose of barnyard funk in the nose and palette. Fairly straightforward medium-sweet taste with a light, green apple fruitiness and slight wooden element to keep it from being too boring. Not great but there are much worse ciders out there.

[10/1/13] Cask at John Baird in London. Hazy golden. Aroma of apples, a bit sulphury, a bit funky, with light woody notes. Sweetish flavor, semi-dry, with green apples, light sugariness and a drier finish with a hint of tartness. Flat. Refreshing.
