Just like voodoo ranger, these hero things are getting out of hand. There are a hunderd voodoo rangers and there must be at least fitty of these heroes! Put that on top of the fact there must be a gahzillion IPA out there with different names that all pretty much taste the same; how fooken boorish! Remember the bygone day when pale lager was the macro? Now its dull monotonous repetitious IPAs. This one is just another example of the style. It pours hazy from a can with a decent head. Nose is surprizingly fresh perfume candy hops; at least it don't smell like BO or diesel. First big gulp is terribly bitter IPA hops followed by some fruitiness hiding back there behind the curtain. Rubbery aftertaste, think like yer chewing on an innertube from yer riding lawn mower, while yer trying to fix a hole in it. Another swig puts me into the middle where perhaps a dullness of bitter IPA hops sets in. That bitterness is overriding my brain while I try to enjoy this brew. Towards the end, it tries to pacify you with more friendly fruit attributes but the finish overrides that with a big fat, slightly carbonated, long lasting bitter finish that is no hero, its a male protagonist villain. There, you have it.
