Half-pint, cask at Barley Mow in Leicester. Filmy layer over a crystal clear amber coloured body. Dotted spots on the glass. Mild caramel nose, distant notes of dusty hops. Moderate flavours of caramel and dried fruits. Distant bittersweet endnotes. Clean in the mouth. Fair enough. (11.02.2019).

Handpull cask at the Architect, Cambridge. Light copper, clear. Not much head but some patterned lacing around the glass. Biscuit and honey with a touch of overripe orange compete with a study grass and floral hop aroma. Simple bittersweet taste, with ample bittering hop but governed by a biscuit malt base. Short to medium finish with more ripe orange in the finish. Basic as you like but not that much the worse for it.

On tap at the Three Horseshoes, Waddington. Labled as Beacon Hill but told it’s just a relable. Amber colour with a white head. Light malty caramel aroma and taste. Thin body and a touch watery.

Clear amber, white head. Light bitter aroma but not much. Taste is hoppy, slightly citrusy, some bitterness from that and a touch of malt. Not much to it. Bit watery. Meh.
