Bottle at home in London - picked up at Duke’s. This one was a prodigious gusher. It also hosts a fleet of floaties, and the aggressive effervescence keep the bits bobbing all around in the glass. It’s quite a site though not especially appetizing. The beer itself is otherwise fairly clear, somewhat orange-gold, with a large, off-white foam head. The aroma is odd, kind of like rubber and melon, perhaps some orange citrus and bubblegum. It tastes alright, some moderate sweetness, vaguely bready malts, tangerine, still some rubber notes, little bitterness, hay. Light bodied with high, explosive carbonation. Lightly sweet and oily to finish, maybe some suggestions of root vegetables, drying bread, faint orange and tangerine, touches of rindy bitterness, a bit more hay. The beer’s character is a little messy and the poor condition brings it down further.
