Cask at Crystal Palace (JDW) Glasgow. Reddish ruby coloured, small off-white headmild malty nose. Moderate sweet malty, caramel and slight fruity with short finish. Usual bitter.

Cask at the John Peel Inn, Windermere. Pours dark brown with a medium head. Aroma is burnt Ribena. Taste has a fruity Ribena start and a Christmas spice finish.

Pint at the Prince of Wales, Lincoln. Clear dark red brown colour with a small of white head. Aroma is malty. Flavour has some sweetness, and a touch of buicuity malt.

Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Almost clear deep amber beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry, modest fine carbonation. Lacto sweet malt, tangy caramel, dried fruits. Dry finish. Very messy.

Cask (Hotspur, Newcastle) - Ruby red with a big head. Raisins, caramel and malt in the aroma. Fruity taste with raisins, marzipan and caramel detected.

Cask at the Three Tuns, Osmotherley, 04/10/13. Clear dark golden amber with a good sized white head. Nose is toffee, bready malts, light fruit, hint floral. Taste comprises caramel, sweet malt notes, berry fruit, light hop profile. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, sweet malt lead finale. Pleasant enough cask bitter.

Cask at The Anchor Hotel, Haydon Bridge. It pours ruby-brown with a thick beige head. The nose is wood, berry, leather, earth and toast. The taste is rather fruity, berry, dark fruit, wood, earth and mild fruity tartness. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nice berry character. Rather easy drinking. Decent.

Appearance: Clear dark ruby color with a small off white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Fruity and sweet dark malty.
Palate: Medium body. Tad sweet and a mild bitterness. Soft carbonation. Creamy texture.
Taste: Some roasted malt, dark fruity and mild grassy.
Overall impression: Not any typical bitter. A bit more powerful and a bit more tasty.
