Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Very cloudy amber golden with a rough, off-white head. Unclean aroma, fruit and nuts and a lightly fusty edge. Quite full-bodied with nutty accents. Distinctly raw and bitter finish with quite some alcohol showing. A crude one. 050109

50 cL bottle. Pours clear yellow with a lacing white head. Aroma is dusty, ashtray. Flavour is tobacco and dry. Ends herbal and bitter. I really don’t get the ashtray-like hops :( A bit olid yet fruity in another bottle.

BB Nov 07: Pours hazy yellow with a off white creamy head. Aroma is of hops - fruity lemon/citrus/grapefruit. In the taste there is definetly something very unpleasant! Cardboard/leather taste. Smooth & OK filling body. But that taste of "wet dogg" ruins the whole thing!

500 ml bottle. Cloudy orange body with a small white head. Aroma has citrus, malt and fruit. Flavor is a bit acid, grapefruit, malt and yeast. There is also some strange flavor here, it reminds me something of a strong German dobbelbock. This where then described as burning mackerel skin! I don’t know, but it’s not very pleasant. This flavor is not dominating, but enough to influence the rating negative.

Bottle. A bit unclear golden-orange body, topped by a small, white head. The nose is mostly citrusy and hoppy which is quite nice, and malty, which is quite nice, but there’s also a note of wet cardboard. That’s not nice at all. The wet cardboard shines through in the mouth as well, but there it is much more evident. There’s malt, a good dash of citrus and bitterness as well. Medium body and a fruity and bitter finish. It’s a pity the cardboard is present, it ruins the experience, else it is a quite good beer. (070727)
