Copenhagen beerfestival 2007. Complex hop aroma: Herbal, almost sulphury, pine, green apples. Cloudy amber creamy head. Metallic bitterness, orangepeel, pine, grass. Light body. Very silly.

[Another century celebrated with a Mikkeller beer - this time 9200] An unclear orange beer with a beige head. The aroma is extremely hoppy with notes of grapefruit and grass - just hops nothing else is evident to me. The flavor is even more extreme just being hops and being extremely bitter - some notes of grapefruit and grass - but mainly just bitter. I’m an admitted hophead - but this is just too much for me.

Unclear orange with a small white head. Intense hop aroma, mostly of the citrus kind. Extremely bitter, with a long lasting, wonderfully painful lingering bitterness.

Draught at Københavnske Øldage. I expected the worst for this one. I like hops, lots of hops as well, but I still prefer balance. Even though this one is far from balanced, it’s better than many überhoppy beers I’ve had. The pour was hazy, golden-orange, with a nice dense, beige head. As expected, the nose was resiny, piney and nothing else but hoppy. Some tropical fruits as well, off-course, but I failed to find the malts they must have used. The flavor on the other hand, had a heavy beef-stock profile, in addition to pine, resin and tropical fruit-notes. The finish is very bitter. Full body. It’s nice to have tried it, but it’s a waste of hops brewing it to this IBU level. It is surprisingly drinkable considering the hop level, but I guess it’s best suited as an experiment. (070512)

(On tap) Hazy, reddish amber with a very dense, creamy, off-white head leaving broad curtains of lacework. Very intense hop aroma with lots of pine and peach. The body is thin - almost watery - completely dominated by the extreme but also fresh aroma hops leaving a very heavy hoppiness. This is dry as a bone. Balance?, well go somewhere else.... 120507

Draught @ Københavnske Øldage 2007 in Copenhagen. Cloudy yellow amber color with a average fizzy fair lacing mostly diminshing off-white head. Aroma is a explosion of hop, heavy heavy hoppy ;o)) grapefruit, lemon, flower. Flavor is moderate sweet and heavy / harsh bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Every zip gets better WOW what a monster beer ;o))
