This IPA was not born in Texas but it got here as quickly as it could! Saddle Up is brewed in the style of San Diego IPAs, generously dry hopped with Belma, Cashmere and Strata varietals. This hop blend delivers berry and citrus on the nose, and dank, juicy melon in flavor. This result is a clear, bright golden color from the Pilsner malt base that finished crisp and dry. A perfectly balanced hop showcase for all IPA lovers. So let's Saddle Up!

Grapefruit and nectarine. Pours clear golden with decent head. Light bitter end. Some tang to this on the finish. Tap at University Draft House Town Lake.

I found a 12 oz can at the nearest HEB supermarket a week ago. My ABGB snifter is working for this sampling, it is in place and I pour. A fairly clear, light gold body followed by a proper head of totally white foam that slowly settles. Lift the glass to take a smell and I get throwback amounts of hops, citrus and some dankness. The drink ambles along closely, moderately hoppy, lemons, malt, pine and a bit of honeydew sweetness. Decently bitter. It is nice to get a straight-up IPA every so often

Revisited this same tap at the same location without realizing it. Oct 2024: 2.4 Clear, vibrant, mgd frothy. Grassy, herbal, medicinal hop nose. Lingering sweet caramel, leather, bitter rind, constrained bitter bite. Strong CO2, thin body, middle high acid, good pedestrian feel. Solid. June 2024: 2.8 Grrrowlers, such nice weather while watching the doggos. Almost clear, pale gold, frothy pour. Grassy, veggie, grapefruit nose. Bittergreen bite, lots of acid, slightly medicinal turning ugly sweet. Nah.

Clear, lacy crispy-looking proper pint at the capital one lounge in Dallas. That's the highlight.
Faint, herbal-amonia nose.
Astringent, medicinal, catty hops, some grapefruit oil. Weak saltine. Mostly dry with an acidic follow through.
A wcipa missing anything really inviting.
