Tap @ the brewpub. I registered this as a Barley Wine but I’m not totally convinced, this lack a few qualities for a barley wine and might as well be registered as an American Strong Ale but let the doubt benefit the defendants. Almost clear dark golden body with a dense, medium sized tan head that seems to stay for quite a while. Aroma is caramel, bread and malt. Flavor is relatively smooth for such a strong beer, sweet malt, ripe fruit, caramel and low bitterness. Full bodied and rather sweet in aftertaste. Drinkable but way too Sweet and one-dimensional. Maybe I gave this one point lesser score than deserved, but I was a bit pissed at the bartender who gave me a 0,5 liter of this brew when asking for a small glass. Too much, too sweet and too boozy for me.
