bottle, excavated from a mixed beer shelf at Auchan Illkirch-Graffenstaden. What do we have here, an AOK ale? Could this be oak? ;) Anyway, the beer pours a chestnut brown colour with a tall beige head. promising aroma of wood and vanilla. Medium-bodied, good malty base with roasted malt flavours and some black currant. Earthy hops, more wood and vanilla round it off. Flavourswise well balanced, carbonation seems a bit rough. Still a very pleasant beer.
