Tasted as Postel Christmas. Abbey beer with warm bronze colour, creamy head and caramelly and spicy character, with impressions of banana, pear, butterscotch, liquorice, cloves, chocolate, white pepper; malty sweet taste, soft, smooth with mild hop bitterishness and warming alcohol in the finish. Like the other Postel beers, this is actually not bad and well balanced, though very mainstream and stereotypical for its style.

Clear brown amber colour, beige head. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel, red fruits, canned peach, spice and candy sugar. Sweet malty flavour, caramel and candy sugar. Light bitter hops. Light bitter finish, hops and roasted malts, light lingering spices.
The one I like most of the Postel beers I’ve tasted to date. Certainly nice with a little age on it.

Bottled (as Postel Christmas, 9.0%) at Pressklubben, Stockholm. Cloudy mahogany colour, rocky head. Toasty vinous nose with figs and dark bread. Sweet and near full bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Brown sugar on dried figs with some grassy hops atop. Light spicy bitterness with a bit of warming alcohol. A likeble, rather complex and warming beer, where my sampel alrady had matured a little.

Cloudy red-brown colour. Fairly rich aroma and taste. Dry fruit and spice comes through a little at the end. Not a bad beer but lacks any great depth of flavour.
