Christmas ale from ’t Pakhuis, in very limited edition but yearly available there around Christmas. Off-white head on a bronze, cloudy beer; aroma caramel-malty, peach, strawberry, flowery hops accompanied by lightly smoky and meaty impressions. Tastes fruity and malt sweetish (caramel), in the finish some toasted bitterness. Quite okay but I’ve had many better Belgian Christmas beers.

Bottled at Kerstbierfestival 2007. A hazy brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and nuts as well as light notes of fruit. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of nuts and caramel, as well as a weird edge - that makes me wonder if it is a bit off?

1 L bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium. Pours slight hazy copper coloured with a little lacing white head. Dark malty aroma. Flavour is mild sweet and malty. Has a nice soft yeasty note to the mild dried fruit. Ends with a mild bitterness and a lingering yeasty fruit note.

Test vom 21.12.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,9,10,8,-,9 - 9,00
