The perfect balance of roasted malts, this stout is dark, sweet and full-bodied. We used over nine types of grain to steady the restrained roast and soft, creamy sweetness from lactose. Caramel, chocolate, and coffee flavors dominate the palate and aroma without crushing the senses.

From a 2$ can from chalet. Pour is pretty much big black brown with a tan choco moose head, hehehh. Nose is typical milk stout, appetizing malty mild with some detectable sweetness. Taste, at over 6%, my initial impression is that its not boozy. Just getting lots of old damp partially burned campfire wood as a solid backbone. I've always been a fan of lower alky milk stouts and the 6%+ in this is not a hindrance. In the middle I'm getting some lasting burnt effects from an over charred felling. Not a lot of carbonation but at least there is some to give it more affable quaffability. In the end it finishes as a good example of a really dark beer that comes across as a decent milk stout.

Sample at Bob's Bar during the "23rd Annual Extravaganza!!!" on 02/22/2025. Brown-black pour with a medium thin beige head that recedes steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate, and coffee. Medium body flavors of chocolate malt, bittersweet coffee and a touch of earthy hop. The finish is roasty with a malt and coffee aftertaste. Above average overall.
