Bottle: Poured a bright golden color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention with some lacing. Aroma consists of real apricot without any fake syrup as well as some subtle sour notes. Taste is again dominated by some nice real apricot taste without the domination of the fake syrupy fruit stuff you sometime find in those beers. Great carbonation with a somewhat full body. I really enjoyed this for what it was and wouldn’t mind having a more regular access to this beer.

Can’t be a lambic, from England? And it’s clear too, just like pale yellow american lager. No gunk on the bottom of this bottle, must be a filtered lambic or a krystal lambic, heheheh. Big head that fades to a half big head. Smell is tart and sour fruity. OOOOOH, the flavor of this is fantastic! Delicious and pleasing all fru-fru- fruity around. Not quite like those sweet lambics, a little more near the style of gueze. Wow, nice carbonation. This stuff is refreshing an yummy. Totally enjoyable the whole way thru, lovely. Beautifully sour finish that leaves your mouth puckering - zowwie! Very nice melbourn!

Bottle. Pours a clear, golden body with a nice, white head with pour retention. A good deal of carbonation is going on. The aroma is dominated by the apricot, but sourness, yeast notes and some barnyard shines through. Some sweetish notes as well, guess that’s related to the apricot juice. The flavor has a good deal of apricot, but here as well, the sourness and some barnyard steps forward, and it is certainly sweet too. It is a bit thin, so it would probably do better only with apricots soaking in the fermenting beer, and not having juice added. A bit sticky on the palate as well. The apricot flavor, and a little sourness stays all the way to the finish, leaving a little astringent feeling. I guess it will do as a refresher in the summer heat, but the sweetness would probably make you stop after the first bottle. Quite nice. (070928)

Bottle. Pale amber colour. Slightly cloudy with a fair amount of carbonation. Aroma of slightly tart apricots, yeast and a hint of farmyard - a bit like a commercial lambic. Sweet fruit flavour with a dry lambic finish. Good.

Sour lambic aroma supported by apricot. Orange tinged golden color with a respectable white head. Medium body, creamy carbonation, lactic sour, and sweet apricot. The finish is astringent, lactic, slightly apricoty. Sort of like having alum in the mouth. Not a bad thing, and the mouth writhings required to enjoy it are well invested.

Firewaters (bottle) light golden yellow...very pretty beer...smells almost liqueur-like..nice, almost like a jam reduced to a beer

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, pale amber colour with a bubbly, dissipating, off-white head. Tart aroma of distinct Brett. Light body, sweet’n’sour notes, lightly vinegarish - or ciderish - with a marked touch of the fruit. A pleasant, fresh tartness. 280207

bottle. clear yellow with a thin off egg white head. Aroma has sweet fruits (apricot) & sugar mainly. High acidicity. Apricot taste. Little vinous white vine feel. Other than that rather one dimensional - fresh apricot!

I expected a much higher rating for this beer, but I guess I should have considering wide bias against anything sweet. I didn’t realize the alcohol was quite this low, but I didn’t pick up on it so that makes sense. The comparison to Lindeman’s is obvious, and this is very similar. Sweet apricot. Only a hint of lambic weirdness, but this is an excellent dessert beer.
