Clear amber body with a medium creamy tan head. Sweet caramel aroma, light biscuit and a touch of diacetyl. Earthy hop aroma. Sweet caramel flavor, medium light body with a light bitter finish.

bottle - Pours dark amber with a medium sized, lingering head. It has a caramel malt aroma. The flavor is sweet caramel malt and some mild hops. It’s light on the hops for the style and a little on the thin side. Not bad though and it looks nice.

12 oz Bottle from Trader Joes; says brewed in Cincinnati by Royal Imports; nose of caramel and popcorn butter; orangish copper witha medium beige head; flavor is sweet caramel malt with a buttery diacetyl note, but no bitterness.

Aroma of nuts, bread, and caramel. Amber color with a white head that quickly flattened. Thin to moderate body. Slightly fizzy. Flavor is sort of nutty with a carmel sweetness. The bitter is arguably enough, but the finish seems malty more than bitter. It’s more of an amber than a pale.

Maple syrup aroma. Dark tea color, with a creamy tan head. Tastes of roasted chestnuts and sweet syrup. Good quality hops in the finish. Detractingly thin mouthfeel, not bitter at all. More like a brown ale, IMO.

Bottle. Sweet caramel/butterscotch aroma. Reddish amber with small head. Sweet toffee malt flavor - not nearly as much as the aroma would lead you to believe. Moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a dark coppery brown with a nice off white frothy head that sits about a half inch high. Aromas are of sweet malt and apple juice, slightly fruity hops, and a touch of honey. Flavor is caramel apple with a slightly bitter hops finish. Comes off as a little watery and the malt and hops presence just doesn’t come through stongly.

Bottle...light amber color..smells like a Charleston chew tastes...light caramel (sweet malt)...just a yummy scent....slight lacing and a nutty flavor....creamy...a nice everyday in a winter style..balanced very well..."when this beer grows up it wants to be like stille nacht"

Bottle. Amber color with a average and lasting white head. Fruity aroma, malt and some hops. Full body, creamy texture. Finish is rather bitter.

Is this Sam Adams...no it’s Sam Whitbread. I purchased this by mistake thinking I was buying a Mackeson white wheat beer. Well, if Mackeson ain’t Sam Adams then I guess Whitbread ain’t Sam Adams, even tho they are all the boston beer company ( as opposed to brooklyn?) Slightly darker than your typical pale yellow american beer style but has a similar taste and finish. I was expecting something more bitter but was pleasantly surprised. Buy yuengling traditional lager for much less cash and be happy! Will not buy again.
