0.4l bottle. The aroma immediately reminds me of my dentist, but that's just a diversion. This is a light blurry deep amber- bronze colored thing with a really quickly fading and sidesticking bubbly off-white top. OK, back to the aroma; light caramel-minty with tons of Christmas spices. Cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and clear bready gingerbread. Really, and somewhat surprisingly nice. The taste is just as equivalent nice. Softly spicy all the way with peppery gingerbread, cloves, allspice and a overall generally Christmas spirit flavor. I'm impressed how tasty this actually was. Not much more to say really, other than this being a really tasty little organic Christmas treat. 02.11.2012

Bottle. Pours clear mahogany with small white head. Aroma is caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves and Christmas cookies. Taste is light bitter and faint sweet. Body is oily with good carbonation. Finish is medium long and light bitter and faint acidic with notes of caramel, nuts, roasted malt, butterscotch, apples, faint metallic and faint cinnamon and glögg. A Christmas ale that actually has Christmas in taste and aroma - well done!

0,4 flaske fra Føtex: deilig aroma og smak av julekrydder sammen med karamellmalt og litt røstet malt. Ikke den store munnfylden, men god ettersmak. Kan passe godt i en julekalender.

40cl from Vinmonopolet, Grorud. Pours clear, copper coloured with an off-white to light beige head. Christmassy aroma of spices like cinnamon and cardamom with malt, caramel, dark fruits and hints of chocolate. Sweet, malty and spicy with light bitterness in the spicy finish. Pleasant and christmassy, almost like a liquid Christmas cake. Well balanced and alcohol well integrated. Nice Christmas beer!

Pours dark copper with a small head.Nose shows sultanas, spices (cinnamon?), soft roasted malt, caramel and golden syrup.Flavours are pretty much full-on fruitcake. Lots of dried fruit, golden syrup and Christmas spices. Finishes a bit weakly though.Carbonation could be a bit lower to let the flavours shine.

(year-old 600mL bottle from LCBO) Served cool in a Duvel tulip. Pours a very murky slightly reddish-brown with a large short-lived off-white head. Not the prettiest beer by a long shot. Aromas are of spices, particularly cloves, banana, malt sweetness (Munich?), some ginger zest. Mid-weight body, oily but not thick, carbonation high but fairly fine and frothy. Flavours of spice and banana early, mid-palate sweetish and grainy malts, finish dry, acidic and bitter with some yeasty funk. Not a bad Christmas beer, not cloying but could have been richer and more warming too.
