My First rating after ratebeer came back up. pours black, nice thick brown head. aroma is faint coffee, or roasted sometging. also some boiled eggs, butter, sweetness (brown sugar or perhaps brown suger and faint caramel) flavor is delicately roasted stuff, delicately smoked stuff. brown sugar, dark chocolate (faint), very easy drinking for this kind of beer. still full and with lots of flavors. overall wird and starange but well crafteed mix between a smoked, a stout and a wheatbeer. round and full, easy to drink, but with many diverse flavours to explore.

Dark ruby, almost opaque color, creamy beige head. Toasted, roasted, a bit chocolaty aroma with notes of smoke. Soft palate. Slightly weizenbock-like, chocolaty, light Bambergian smoked malt flavors, although not really smokey. Nice.

Bottle: Almost black coloured, dense&stzable yellowish-tanned creamy head; strong wheaty-fruity nose with traces of sweet dark malt, toasted malt and coffee; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour; medium bodied, smooth, creamy MF; coffee, dried fruit and the sweet and als a bit bitter finish. Very good, but could be a bit more dry...........

(bottle, with thanks to Papsoe) Pitch black colour with a big and stable beige foamy head. Sweet caramel- and roast-malty aroma with dark chocolate, notes of coffee and liquorice, accompanied by delicate smoky accents. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a mellow mouthfeel. Aromatic dark malt-character with a cornucopia of flavours (caramel, coffee, chocolate, liquorice); slightly sweetish and light bitter finish with a lasting dark malty aftertaste with traces of smoke. Very quaffable Stout, that is just a tad too sweet which is the only downside (19.03.08).
