Back for another year, we bring your our annual barrel-aged Mexican Imperial Stout with the addition of cacao, vanilla, and chili peppers. Expect deep chocolate and roasted malt notes complemented by creamy vanilla sweetness. The peppers add layers of smoky, earthy, and subtle spice, balanced by the stout natural sweetness. Barrel aging introduces warmth and depth, with caramel and oak from the Bourbon barrels, subtle spice from the French Whiskey barrels, and maple syrup sweetness from the Maple barrels.

Black and thick as it can get with a small dark head. Mouth is like syrup. Dark malts, chocolate, molasses, oak, a hint of roast, and spicy heat from some black pepper notes. Finish is long and both sweet and spicy. Very interesting and fun. A bit tricky to kill a whole can myself- wish I had shared this with a few others!

Pours a black, oily body and a brown head that quickly disappears. Aroma's: boozy, unani, wood/tannines, peppers. Retronasal: boozy sweet, chocolate, peardrops, peppers. Flavour is sweet, chocolatey, with light roasty bitterness and some peppery fruitiness. Medium bodied. Moderate pepper heat. Long finish with chocolate.
