Sampled on draft at Piper’s this beer poured a black color with a large foamy brown head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was anise, cocoa and strong floral hops. The flavor was bitter and roasty with strong floral hops, anise, cocoa and was fairly sweet. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth. Solid.
