Bottle, thanks to Jeppe for bringing this over to Belgium
Deep, black body. Frothy off-white head. A lot of bubbles going up in the beer (bit weird to see this in a stout). Aroma of coffee, chocolate, liquor of sweet strong malts. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet flavour of strong malts. Some acidity popping up in the finish. Ok stout, not very special, but decent.

bbf 10-7-2009. pours brown settles dark brown with a smooth beige thick but not that large head. very nice aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, faint licorice, mildly roasted stuff. flavor is real nice. roasted malts dominates but is supported by real nice coofee and very dark chocolate flavors as well as some nice faint brown sugar sweetness. The flavors are in my opinion very well balanced and the overall impression is a gentle but very well crafted brew. i don’t know if it might have become better with age, i find it a little better than what ratebeer reviews show. rather full flavor for a 6.5%er. definetly some of the best u can get in the supermarkets.

Picked this up at a supermarket not far from Lokkeren, Denmark sat drinking this in Frank (Camper) Thorsminde campsite West Jutland 20-09-08 Pours black with a light bege head bigger on coffee that the Ribe beer. Quite complex, though despite this and as decent as it was it still wasn’t a stunner, more in the realms of enjoyable and solid.

Medium brown lasting head. Nearly opaque black body. Roasty coffee aroma. Sweetish burnt coffe and chocolate taste with wooden rye notes. Dry burnt chocolate aftertaste with grain notes. Balanced and harmonic; delicate. Very good! (0.1l taster draft at EBF ’08.)

Bottled. Black colour with mediumsized beige head. Aroma is mildly roasted malts, some slight coffee and caramel malts. Flavour is quite much the same along with some wooden and dark chocolateish hints.

Bottle. Rich black appearance with healthy head. Glorious burnt armona and flavour. This one is a winner with oysters.
