Every year, the non-profit organization Jazz Bilzen Bierbrouwers markets a beer that refers to an artist that performed on the legendary Jazz Bilzen music festival. The intention is to bottle seventeen beers, as a tribute to the seventeen editions (between 1965 and 1981) of Jazz Bilzen. 1969 is a legendary year and the tribute beer 69 is referencing to The Moody Blues performance from that year and the beer is named after their hit song Nights In White Satin. The beer is created by Quae Voluptas and designed by Yannick Schoubben. The beer is a very drinkable dark 9.6 abv beer, full flavored, searching the balans between maltyness and sweetness.

Bottle at home. Very dark brown color, full sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, wholegrain bread. Flavor is malts, dark malts, dark raisins, earthy a bit, dried fruits, malt bitters, bitter. Lingering dark malt bitter. Very high carbonation, medium body. Hmm no, not a fan overall. Unbalanced.

Erhöhte Karbonisierung. Trockener, dunkel malziger Beginn ohne wirkliche Intensität, kurzer Abgang. Meh. 9/5/5/5/7/5
