Reviewed from notes.
Bottle stamped on 11/13/2023 and consumed on 01/10/2024.
Into a snifter.
Appearance: dark brown close to black in color with a quickly fizzy dissipating head which didn't leave any lace
Aroma: woody sweet to spicy barrel notes up front with some dark fruits and black anise; light vanilla, black coffee and some milk chocolate
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to spicy contour; finishes semi-spicy with a subtle dryness to it
Texture: medium bodied; this is a sipper; not as smooth as I thought it was going to be; good carb level
Overall: this was a lesson to me in aging beers as I ended up changing some things around in cellaring, so with that in mind, these numbers reflect a "semi-kind" sort of mentality towards this beer but also there was no need for me to have this beer as young as it was.

12 oz bottle. Pours an opaque black/brown color with a small brown head that quickly fizzes away. The aroma is big and bold with licorice, raisins, chocolates and whiskey. The taste is dark chocolate liqueur, dark fruits and whiskey. The palate is oily with soft carbonation. Finishes long and semi sweet with lingering chocolates. Overall: Decent impy. Paired well with some sarvecchio parma
