Emily, my wife, has been desperate for one since we started making IPA's and with the new tank we got a few months ago, we finally had space. Eric and Dodge came up with a great recipe of a bit of Caramalt and malted wheat and hopped with Citra, Simoce and Amarillo. Happy wife, happy life.

16 oz. can. Pours a clear, straw color, with a small, white head. The nose is caramel, orange peel, light pine, grains of paradise, and lavender. Sweet and zesty, with a smooth, pleasant bitterness. Light to medium body, lightly sticky, and grainy. Easy, aromatic, and balanced. Lovely!

Pint Can. Pours a mostly clear golden color with a medium sized sudsy white head that has fair retention. The aroma is medium in strength with citrus, light pine, and herbs. The taste is dominated by citrus with fresh oranges, grapefruit and a bit of mango. Rounding out the back and sides are pine resins, grass, and herbs. The palate is full and even with lively carbonation. Finishes long, dry and crisp with a bit of lingering bitter pine resins. Overall: Decent IPA. Not so sure I'd call this a west coast IPA, but its still quite yummy. IMHO a west coast IPA needs a big pine presence in the forefront, not in the background. But this is a minor quibble. Paired really well with some sourdough pretzels. I really hope my local will continue to carry this brewery.
