Bottled. Clear, sparkling golden beer with an off-white head. Toffee-like, malty nose with some alcohol and fruity sweetness. Malty, bready and caramel-ish flavor with a distinct touch of alcohol which is not too dominant, except for in the finish. The finish is also malty. Medium body. It tasted better this time than it did the first time I tasted it some years ago. Guess that’s my tastebuds evolving, not the beer. (061026)

Good mostly lasting head, amber colour, average finish with a lot of hoppy power. A bit lively in carbonation. A touch og orange in aroma?

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark golden (colouring has been added), no head to speak of. Notes of smoked malt. Sweetish with a burningly strong alcohol. Unpleasant - and a typical strong lager. 220100

Bottled. Copper coloured, small white head. Sweet maltish aroma with stingy notes, a bit whiskylike. Also some notes of honey and caramel in aroma. Stinging malty flavour with notes of alcohol. Long malty aftertaste. Very nice "whiskybeer".

This beer is named after the Danish 19th century sail frigate "Jylland", now a Jutlandian tourist attraction. The beer, however, will hardly qualify as a tourist attraction. Golden to amber colour, moderate alcoholic aroma, alcoholic and slightly sweet flavour, moderate to low bitterness in the aftertaste. Not unpleasant, but far from great.

A nice amber/light amber color with an OK head. The aroma is faintly fruity. But the flavor is not good - it has too much malt sweetnes and tastes of the 7.7% abv - and no hops to compensate the sweetness. The corn and glucocesirup that it is brewed on is too prominent in the aroma. My advice choose another beer.
