500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Golden colour with a creamy cream coloured head; aroma of hops and citrus; malty body with a dry finish. Rather disappointing.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Poors a golden colour with a white head that stays and sticks to the side of the glass. A nice hoppy smell and a pleasant enough bitter taste. The aftertaste is nice, but not brilliant. A good beer in a bottle, but I imagine the unpasturised cask version is better.

Bottled from ASDA. Amber coloured with a hint of hoppy aroma. Flavours of fruity malt with a grassy after taste. The whole package was a bit subdued for me, which is probably due to the pasteurisation.

Bottle: Amber coloured, huge off-white fluffy head; a big touch of hop-resins and hop-oil in the aroma, together with some fruity notes; mainly dry bitter, robust flavour, rather light bodied; some hints of lemons in the - again - dry and bitter finish. A tasty brew, which should have a bit fuller body.........

Bottle. Amber golden, slightly hazy with a small, creamy head. Fruity, floral and fresh nose. Rather sweet, malty flavours well balanced by the pronounced hoppiness. A very nice bitter.

Bottled (as HN 303 AD). Copper coloured, big beige bubblyish foamy head. Aroma is strong fruity hops. Flavour is fruity and smoothly hopped. The finish is almost close to caramelly sweet. Very wellbalanced brew, and creamy palate. Quite filling for only 4%. One of the better bitters I have had lately.

Bottled (BB 01/2007). Clear amber color, firm creamy head. Woody and slightly metallic hoppy aroma. Dry, English hops dominating flavor. Hints of sweetness in the aftertaste. Quite solid bitter - does not feel like only 4.0%, propably even a bit better as a real ale version.
