Ever so slightly hazy golden and light peach coloured body with a thinnish, off-white head that barely stretches a single centimetre and fades fairly quickly. Aroma of lactose, nuts, malt, candy sugar, cream and a big dose of graham crackers and rich soft and light malts noticeable here with a touch of alcohol in the nose as well. Full-bodied; Super rich malty flavour with a large creaminess, a lot of lactose and cereal notes punch through everything else with a lot of sweetness noticeable along with a rustic nutty and earthy profile that definitely shows that of a 'white stout' and not anywhere close to any sort of IPA, period. Aftertaste is rich with the lactose, cream, graham crackers, oats and alcohol with some vanilla that shows large, but the alcohol and malts are the most pungent. Overall, I'm not sure why anything like this (aside from the fact it's a Decadent beer) ever lists 'India Pale Ale' anywhere close to the product, as this has nothing to do with any IPA styles, period - this is a 'White Stout', and a decent one, but not great and not anywhere on the IPA scale - perhaps a negative rating. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from K-1 Beer and Wine in Arlington, Virginia on 07-June-2020 for US$4,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on perhaps one of the last chilly days here this season. Rating as an 'IPA' as listed for whomever entered this one.
